Running the Christian Race; We are in a Race

On 19th October 2015 in a vision of the LORD, I had a short but powerful vision about our Christian walk. I saw the following in the vision; I was in a Christian gathering, and I was preparing for a sermon since it was my turn to teach the word of the LORD. We were walking towards the place where we would fellowship, and behold, we saw two athletes clad in the athletes' uniform. One was ahead of the other. As they continued to run, the one leading was overtaken by his colleague. After taking the lead, the man kept the pace and ran energetically. Our eyes were on him with amazement as he ran to the finishing point full of strength and energy. Lagging behind was the fellow who was leading at first, but was overtaken. He had not only slowed down, but also began to walk!!!
End.
Shalom.

It is not enough that we began the race. The greatest goal of this race is to receive the crown of victory. Many begin the race, but not all finish the race. Many Christians are overcome by trials on the way and give up.
1 Corinthians 9:24 "Do you know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way to get the prize."
Our walk of faith may be very impressive now, but many lose the spiritual fervor and go back to the starting point, what a loss! We have to remember that God remains to be faithful. When a Christian falls away it is because he/she becomes drawn away from the path when he/she loses focus on God. Thats why we are exhorted to fix our eyes on Jesus in Hebrews 12:1.
Trials shall always come, but if we put our trust, hope and confidence in God, we shall be able to overcome them all. Thats why the Bible in 1 Corinthians 10: 13 says, "...and God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it."
Therefore we need to give undivided devotion to obedience of the word. When we remain in Him, he will also remain in us.
Galatians 5:7 "You were running a good race. Who cut in on you to keep you from obeying the truth?"
Hebrews 12:1,2 "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, fixing our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith..."

I therefore encourage you to be strong in the LORD. Beginning well is not enough; finishing well is the goal that we must aim at achieving.
When Jesus comes, will he find you running or walking?

PREPARE THE WAY FOR THE COMING OF THE LORD JESUS CHRIST IN ABSOLUTE REPENTANCE, RIGHTEOUSNESS, HOLINESS, TRUTH AND COMPLETE SURRENDER TO THE LORD JESUS CHRIST . TIME IS ABSOLUTELY OVER; THE MESSIAH JESUS CHRIST IS IMMINENTLY COMING TO PICK HIS BRIDE!!!

REPENTANCE PRAYER:

LORD Jesus,
I acknowledge today that you are LORD and savior of all mankind, I believe that you died and rose from the dead for my sake, and today I have recognized my shortfall, I repent and turn away from all sin. Please wash me with your precious blood, and establish your word in my life, that I may be found in righteousness and holiness and write my name in your book of life and baptize me with the power of the Holy Spirit in the mighty name of Jesus Christ.
AMEN.
